Alternatives to Me Too in English

Tired of saying me too? Learn three natural English alternatives that make your conversations sound more fluent.

Me too is one of the first phrases English learners learn, and it is perfectly correct. However, if you repeat it in every conversation, your English can start to sound basic and repetitive. In this short video, you will learn three natural alternatives that native speakers use every day. First, Likewise. If someone says I really like pizza, you can answer Likewise, it's my favorite. Likewise is also common in polite situations, like answering Nice to meet you. Second, So am I. When someone says I'm really excited for the weekend, you can reply So am I. Remember that this structure changes depending on the verb: we say So am I after sentences with am or is, and So do I after sentences with like or want. Third, Ditto, a casual and fun way to agree. If your friend says I had a great time today, you can simply say Ditto. These small expressions make your English sound more fluent, natural and friendly. Watch the video, repeat each example and practice using a different alternative in your next conversation. Soon you will stop relying on me too and start sounding more like a native speaker.
