Times of the Day Vocabulary

Knowing how to describe different times of the day is one of the basics of English vocabulary. These simple words help you talk about your daily routine, describe events, or tell stories clearly and naturally.

In this video, you’ll learn six key words that describe the main parts of the day:
• Sunrise – when the sun appears in the morning.
• Morning – the early part of the day, after sunrise.
• Noon – when the sun is highest in the sky, around 12 p.m.
• Afternoon – the time after noon until evening.
• Sunset – when the sun goes down in the evening.
• Night – the dark time after sunset.

These words are used every day in English conversations. For example:
